The first Logistics Training in Motion course was concluded at the beginning of November with remarkably successful participation. 28 students of the innovative logistics training course received their certificate at a closing ceremony chaired by Cristian Oller, Country Manager of Prologis Spain, and representatives of the Sant Boi de Llobregat City Council and the University of Barcelona.

On the last day of the course, the students conducted several practical exercises and developed their knowledge of interpersonal skills, such as teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, adaptability, initiative and effort. 

Cristian Oller, José Ángel Carcelén, first deputy mayor of Sant Boi de Llobregat City Council, and Francisco Pérez, Academic Director of the IL3-UB Continuing Education Institute of the University of Barcelona, then addressed a few words to all of the students and presented certificates to each of them. 

“It was an honour to participate in the closing ceremony of the first Logistics Training in Motion (LTIM) course. Together with the Sant Boi City Council and the University of Barcelona we have taken a very important step forward in logistics training, an industry that is generating thousands of job opportunities and promoting for the development of long and successful professional careers. I would also like to thank companies such as Bunzl, Naeko Logistics, Salvador Escoda, EGD Logistics, Condis, Kuehne+Nagel, Stark Future, Logiprox or Vit Air Cargo, who have welcomed the various students on the course during their internships and which have a clear commitment to promoting talent”, said Cristian Oller, Country Manager of Prologis Spain; 

 

Two new LTIM courses

Following the completion of the Warehouse Operations course, students will have the opportunity to take two more courses before end-2023: a Logistics Coordination course, which will run for five weeks, and lastly, the Warehouse Management Manager course, also running for five weeks. 

Courses will be held at the Sant Boi de Llobregat service centre, a space provided by the municipal council.
