On Friday, May 19, 2017, Prologis employees around the world engaged in the fifth annual IMPACT Day, the company’s global day of service. With the largest participation yet, more than 1,300 Prologis employees in all 71 offices and 19 countries made a difference in their communities and touched the lives of others.
Prologis Spain organized an activity next to the Institució Balmes de Sant Boi de Llobregat, focusing on reforesting an area with little greenery. At the event, the young students, institute staff and Prologis team members worked together, alongside a local government representative.
The day centered around the importance of preserving nature and raising awareness via playful, entertaining and collaborative ways to involve different groups in outdoor and educational activities.
BalderTecnica, a Prologis supplier, contributed a pingpong table, so the young adults could organize a tournament on the day of the reforestation. The donation was eagerly awaited and welcomed with great enthusiasm by the teenagers and the center’s staff.
The day ended with an outdoor picnic enjoyed by all the children from the center.
