Standing by our communities during challenging times

For a long time Neus Blanco, Real Estate & Customer Experience Coordinator at Prologis in the office of Barcelona (Spain) wanted to collaborate with a social aid organization and, a few months ago, she decided to join the Cruz Roja volunteer team. Neus started working with them during the Christmas campaign and her first task was to contact citizens at risk of social exclusion to inform them that their children were going to receive Christmas presents. "All of them were very grateful, and some even told me that thanks to this action their children would be able to have presents under the Christmas tree," says the Prologis employee.

In just a few months, her experience has been exciting and very enriching. "I am becoming more aware than ever of the different social realities and the devastating effects that the pandemic is having on Spanish households. Organizations such as the Cruz Roja have a great challenge ahead of them and all their employees and volunteers are doing commendable social work to try to alleviate the damage," comments Neus.

Prologis encourages all employees to volunteer during their working hours by offering a pool of hours to do so. "In my case, it has been fundamental to have been able to count on this help, and I encourage all my colleagues to invest a little of their time in helping the community, especially the one that is being most affected by the pandemic".
