Prologis España volunteers for the tenth annual Impact Day

Each May Prologis España takes part in Impact Day, the company’s annual volunteering event. This year was special, as Prologis employees went out to help with environmental activities at the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park, 13,700 hectares of protected countryside near Terassa, around 50 kilometres north of Barcelona.

Prologis's employees helped build an ecological trail and get rid of waste in the huge Sierra de l’Obac park, located next to an urban development that is badly affected by waste in the natural environment.

“IMPACT Day is one of those special times of the year for Prologis, particularly this year which is the tenth anniversary. Over 2,000 company employees across the world simultaneously engage in socially valuable activities that make a positive contribution to the cities and countries where we work. The day showed the generous spirit of our workers and underlined the impact that Prologis has on local communities”, said Cristian Oller, Country Manager of Prologis España.

In this and many other natural spaces, the non-profit Reforesta, working with the Barcelona local authorities, helps conserve and improve local ecosystems by promoting their biodiversity and conducting the essential ongoing care to keep them healthy.

IMPACT DAY saw Prologis supporting a huge variety of solidarity projects in the communities where it operates. These ranged from projects to support people with disabilities, volunteers working to remodel local spaces, reforestation projects in abandoned areas and helping out at social restaurants.
