Prologis has just acquired a building in Montmeló very close to the Formula 1 and Moto GP circuit. The space, covering 18,800 m², will have customer facilities, specialising in urban logistics, in line with the company's strategy of connecting its key arteries. It is located just 25 kilometres from the centre of Barcelona and offers easy access to the AP7 motorway and the C17 dual carriageway.
Renovation work is now underway on a 2,300 m² expansion project that will develop the space into a state-of-the-art urban logistics building.
This building is occupied and operational. An extension has been planned and will be built this year to increase the storage area, providing a maximum height of 11 metres. Sixteen additional dock doors will be created. The seven current loading docks will be converted into van docks, facilitating e-commerce activities, and the additional doors will be reserved for trailers, giving the customer a high degree of flexibility.
